At the end of September I’ll be leaving the Institute for Learning and Research Technology (ILRT) at the University of Bristol in the UK after more than five years of productive and interesting work with RDF and the Semantic Web including developing the Redland RDF libraries. It’s been a great place to work at with super people who have been very supportive of the Semantic Web and innovation. Bristol remains a great city to live and work in as you can see from my Bristol photo gallery.

I’m very pleased and excited to announce that I am taking up a post of Senior Software Engineer / Architect at the Media group of Yahoo! Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, USA. This opportunity will allow me to apply my skills, experience and knowledge of RDF, semantic web and software development into Yahoo!’s systems and rich content. The media group covers Yahoo! News, Sports, Finance, Movies and Music but there are of course other Yahoo! groups with semi/structured content which I am likely to be working with and might be able to benefit from semantic web approaches.

I am of course, duty-bound from now on to end all my sentences with an !
